Premier League transfer news, rumours, gossip: Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes on Barcelona, Real Madrid radar
Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes could leave the club after just one year, with Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona ready to battle for his signature when the next transfer window opens.
Fernandes only headed to Old Trafford in January and quickly became a fan favourite with stellar performances in the back half of the 2019-20 Premier League season.
But the 26-year-old has had a slow start to the new campaign and was even substituted at halftime in a humiliating 6-1 loss to Spurs at home.

LIVERPOOL NOT READY TO GIVE UP ON TRAORE
Jurgen Klopp isn’t ready to give up on his pursuit for Adama Traore, telling Liverpool he wants the 24-year-old to remain a key target when the transfer window reopens.
The Wolves forward was linked with a move to Anfield in the off-season but a deal didn’t materialise, with Liverpool instead making deals for Diogo Jota and Thiago Alcantara.
But Express reports Klopp isn’t ready to give up on signing Traore who is valued by Wolves at £63 million ($115 million AUD).
Traore scored six goals and provided 12 assists last season but is yet to make an impact in the current campaign.
ARSENAL HUNT MORE DEFENSIVE REINFORCEMENTS
Fresh off a busy transfer window, Arsenal is preparing to dip into the market again in January for Villareal’s Pau Torres.
The club has already spent big this year — signing Gabriel Magalhaes, Thomas Partey, Alex Runarsson and Willian — but Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu wish to strengthen the defence further.
The club is reportedly eyeing a £35 million bid ($64 million AUD) for Torres who has represented Spain at senior level five times.
Arsenal would face a fight for the highly-rated defender, however, with Manchester United also interested, according to Spanish publication TodoFichajes.
