Calvin Harris Sells Hollywood Hills Home to Charli XCX for $5.1 Million
Calvin Harris is continuing an unexpected musical lineage with the recent sale of his Hollywood Hills home—the sleek, modern mansion, which he purchased from fellow DJ Steve Angello in late 2017, has now been sold to singer-songwriter Charli XCX.
According to Variety, the “Boom Clap” singer (formerly known as Charlotte Aitchison) paid $5.1 million for the 6,010-square-foot mansion. This was slightly less than Harris had hoped to get, given that he initially listed it for $5.75 million in 2019 and relisted it for $5.5 million earlier this year.
Charli XCX will no doubt enjoy the four-bedroom, six-bathroom home’s luxe aesthetic, including an 18-foot-high wood-beamed ceiling in the living room, which also features floor-to-ceiling walls of glass and a château-style fireplace; an open-plan upgraded kitchen and dining area with black cabinetry and black stone countertops; and a bar/lounge area with gray built-in banquette seating and an entire wall of windows overlooking a wraparound deck. The main suite is unusually large, spanning two floors, with its own sitting room, custom-fit dressing room, and spalike bathroom with dual vanities and a Jacuzzi-style deep-soaking tub.
An attached guesthouse continues the home’s many offerings, with one of the two bedrooms converted into a recording studio and plenty of lounge spaces, as well as a balcony with unobstructed views of the surrounding hills. The guesthouse boasts its own full kitchen and a double-height guest suite with its own black marble fireplace and its own separate outdoor deck. A swimming pool serves as a centerpiece for the backyard.
In addition to his newly offloaded home, Harris also sold off his picturesque compound in the same neighborhood for $7 million earlier this year. Charli, meanwhile, listed her retro Tudor-style dwelling last month.
