MTV VMAs: Winners List (Updating Live)

Spread the love

Keke Palmer is hosting the show, airing Sunday night.

The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards are being handed out Sunday night.

Keke Palmer is hosting the show, which airs on MTV along with 11 sister channels, as well as on broadcast (The CW) for the first time.

Heading into the show, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande have the most nominations and also are set to perform their collaboration “Rain on Me,” which earned seven noms. Other top contenders this year include six-time nominees Billie Eilish and The Weeknd and five-time nominee Taylor Swift.

For the top prize of video of the year, Gaga and Grande’s “Rain on Me” will face off against Swift’s “The Man,” Eilish’s “everything i wanted,” The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” Eminem featuring Juice WRLD’s “Godzilla” and Future featuring Drake’s “Life Is Good.”

In light of the coronavirus pandemic that has kept musicians and their fans at home as people are encouraged to continue social distancing to slow the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19, MTV has added the best music video from home and best quarantine performance categories to this year’s awards.

Additionally, the 2020 MTV VMAs will honor “Everyday Heroes: Frontline Medical Workers,” which “celebrat[es] the best performances by COVID-19 first responders.”

The 2020 VMAs are taking place in New York City, with performances from iconic locations across the five boroughs, designed “to honor the spirit and resilience” of the city hit particularly hard by the pandemic this spring.

The list of winners below will be updated as they are announced live. Refresh for the latest.
