 In his own words:

Over this past summer I worked an internship with the General Counsel of the Air Force, through a program I applied for through the Law department. In my role with the General Counsel, I helped create a four-week Air Force course training for negotiations and conflict resolution at all levels in Air Force leadership. The internship had to be down virtually, due to COVID-19, so I was able to work and build the relationships with the General Counsel while also staying at home and training for the football season in my hometown.

I hope to play football as long as I possibly can and potentially represent the Air Force and the Academy through professional sports. I look forward to serving my country and hoping to get a spot in the new US Space Force. I am excited about the Space Force, as it is a new and exciting opportunity in a growing legal and warfighting domain. I also think it will be really exciting to be a part of such a young and ambitious service.

The COVID-19 pandemic taught me to not take anything in life for granted, as things can always change in unexpected ways. For a while we did not know whether or not we would have a football season, then for a while our fall season was officially cancelled, so that taught me to never take moments for granted because you never know when things may end. Also, I’ll say a positive I was able to enjoy from the pandemic was all of the family I could enjoy at home. Being gone for three years, then knowing next year I may live far away domestically or abroad, the time I got to spend at home with my parents and younger sisters was time I will also look back and enjoy when I remember how crazy 2020 was. I also LOVED all of my mom’s home cooked food for the four months we were away from the Academy.
