SEBEWAING — Students at Unionville-Sebewaing Area Elementary School arrived on the first day of classes Tuesday morning wearing face masks and ready to learn. It was the first time since March that students attended in-person classes after schools were closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

To maximize social distancing and ensure health and safety, students were divided by grade level and entered the building through three separate entrances. Just inside each door was a station equipped with hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, latex gloves and surgical masks.

Staff members stood outside each entrance to welcome their students back to school.
